pICKING A PAINT COLOUR.
Picking a paint colour can be really overwhelming, here are our simple tricks to aid your selection.
Colours can appear really different in different light so make sure to order samples and view these in the room you are painting at different times of day. Paint the samples onto white paper and hang these vertically on the wall. Viewing a sample from above can have a totally different look than viewing it front on as it would appear on a wall so this is the best way to get an accurate feel for the colour. Live with it for a few days and see what you think.
Remember to consider at what time of day you will prodominantly be using the space. A lighter room helps you to be productive whilst a darker, moody envirnoment subconciously prepares us for sleep.
Next up search your favoured paint colour on Pinterest, Instagram or simply google. This is a great way of seeing how the colour appears in a variety of different homes with different lighting + styling. Remember a the same shade will look totally different in a high ceiling property to a cosy cottage with less natural light so be sure to make similar comparisons.
